Finally here...

Well, the scanner has finally arrived, and I have been learning to use it. I have scanned a few negs, and am hoping to do many more. Black and white is kind of tricky to scan, so there is a bit of a learning curve to get through, but I seem to be getting a bit better as I figure things out.

Here are some pictures for everyone to enjoy:

A dead saguaro at the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum.

Looking over the valley, also from the museum.

If these pictures don't seem as sharp or clean as they might be, don't blame the scanner. Part of it is the photographer, and his focus distance guesswork, and part could the the camera, which is this one:

I do like using older cameras, though, because you never know what little quirks or light-leaks might be in there. I also had to respool a roll of 120 film onto a 620 spool so it would work in this camera. So, it's really been fun.

That's about it for now, hope to have more pictures up later. Take it easy, all.
